Itchin' for Stitchins

Kanyon looks like he needs to start wearing shinguards around the house.

And elbowpads.

And a helmet (like the karate kind) wouldn't hurt either.

He is constantly running through the house at 90 mi/hr without thoughts of danger that may be caused by the corners of tables, edges of walls, or toys scattered across the floor.

Here is what his legs usually look like...covered in bruises toe to thigh!

 He had his first "make Mommy worry if you need to get stitches" accident. We went to Zoo-kini's one evening after watching Papa Drum's concert. After sitting down in a huge booth, we hadn't even gotten the booster seat yet, the waiter had just taken our drink order, and WHAM!!

Kanyon had been standing on the seat between Kelby & me, and went to dance or grab a crayon, slipped and hit face first on the laminate edge of the table. His immediate blood-curdling scream, and the blood's appearance on his eye scared the tar out of me! He settled down as soon as the waiter brought him a milk, ate his dinner as usual, and seemed to forget about his injury, as I'm contemplating stitches or not, since it kept bleeding more & more. But, we got home and he played fine, the boo-boo dried up nice and gross, and he's back to normal. What a trooper. I can't help but wonder when his first set of stitches will be though.
