Cookie Making

Why is it that the holiday season makes me want to decorate cookies? Something about the aroma of sweet desserts baking in the oven, and getting messy with icing always sounds like a good plan.

 My helper tried his hand at rolling the dough for some cookie cutting action...

 Then we got out our Halloween cookie pan to make some quick, seasonal cookies.

 Nothing like getting up close and personal to your dessert creations.

Kanman liked "smashing" the cutters onto the dough.

Creative Mommy tried to make the Spooky colors we needed for our pumpkins, bats, cats, and spiders. I attempted to make black icing, but could only get a very bright silver.

A batch of Halloween cookies that we munched on all the way up to Halloween night!

I'd say my sweet boy had fun eating our sweets we made. Another yearly Fall tradition for us.
