For Memorial Day weekend we decided to go to the D/FW area instead of Port Aransas. We went to the beach this same weekend last year and it was busy, busy, so we're going to go in July or August. However, Kanyon did get to go swimming for the first time and he absolutely loved it, so much that he fell asleep while being carried in the pool at the hotel. We ate at several different spots, sea food, waffle house (yuck), and at the stockyards.
We spent Sunday night at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, and it was wonderful. They have a summer theme going on of Alice in Wonderland, so the whole time you are exploring the hotel you notice sculptures and decorations from the book/movie. Pretty fun time. Loved getting to spend the weekend with both of my boys!
