Reunited and It Feels So Good

The morning of our departure from the hospital, Kelby took on the role of Taxi Driver by dropping off Kanyon at Mimi and Papa's house for some playtime with Uncle Nick and of course some drum playing action. Mommy and Karter were ready to load up in the truck and have Daddy taxi us back over to the gparents house to Reunite with Big Brother...

He was saying "Hi, Baby."
Little Miss decked out in her Preemie outfit, pink bow, and sweet lacy shoes.
Kanyon wanted to kiss her, hold her, and wanted her out of the carseat.
Going in for some smooches.
Sweet Pea all dolled up. Look at that hair...she has quite a bit on the back.
He was saying "buckle, buckle". He'd look around at us like "what are you guys waiting on?"
And he wanted to hold her so bad. Saying, "mere, mere" aka "Come here."
And then, he was over the baby-holding. On to the next task at hand...be the baby being held in the carseat. He wanted us to buckle him up, but let us talk him into being covered up by the blanket instead. Sweetest boy. No longer the tiniest baby anymore. I can't believe how he overflows the carseat. It's hard to remember that he was just as tiny as Karter on his day to come home from the hospital, in the same carseat.
I have a baby girl...crazy. So. In. Love.
Papa Drum and his first grandaughter.
And this is how Kelby and I were both feeling right before we headed to our own home...
tired, exhausted, drained, pooped, ready for a nap with both our babes. It was only about 5:00 by the time we headed to our house, but it felt like midnight.

We are so thankful for both sides of our family for pitching in and helping us with Kanyon, being at the hospital ready to welcome our new arrival, making sure we (the tired mom and dad) were fed, stocked up on groceries, and making sure we knew that any of them are only a phone call away if we should need anything.
