Striped Rosette Headband

What's a mom to do when there's no coordinating ribbon to make a bow to match a certain outfit?

Cut up old clothing and make a fabric rosette headband!

The article of clothing..a pair of striped, navy & white, size newborn pants (purchased when we found out Kanyon was a boy..worn by only him, never had a need to put the princess in navy pants when she had an overstock of pink!)...

Chop! Chop!

I took strips of the pants, twisted, twirled, hot-glued 2 simple, not perfect, but exactly what I needed fabric rosettes...

Attached them to a navy stretchy headband (that came in a pack of 7 for a dollar from the dollar store, score!) and behold...

A brand-spanking new, free hair accessory for Karter!

It took less than 10 minutes, from the time the idea hit my brain, gathered supplies, plugged in the glue gun, and completed the transformation from pants to headband. Love it.

I need to do a quick photo shoot with the good camera of Karter wearing this, because it's already a little snug, and we have pics of Kanyon in his sailor outfit taken at about the same age.
