Down Came the 'Wain'

"Mama, WAIN-innn! WAIN-innn!"

Kanyon's vocabulary is growing like mad. One of his newest, recognizable words is Raining which he pronounces with a W - if you take him to the window and ask him if it's raining, he'll run through the house shouting (at an excited high pitch) "WAIN-in! WAIN-in!!!" Stinking cute is what he is.

I couldn't resist taking him outside to play in the 'Wain' on Thursday when it rained for about 5 minutes max and sadly turned into a you-might-be-able-to-feel-it-if-you-have-sensitive-skin sprinkling of water. It was also pretty chilly outside (LOVE!!) so we dug out some last year clothes for a quick run outside to get wet and dirty.
This is blurry...but look at the pure excitement.
Boy on a mission. He was "keenin up".
Checking out the leaves. Whether they are changing colors because fall is near or from an overbundance of heat, it reminds me that there really are cooler temps than in the 100s and they are sure to come. One day. To stay, for awhile. I'm craving the highs in the 70s days. Come out, come out, wherever you are!
"Mo-Meh" aka More Mess....showed me his dirty hand after he fell, he's in the stage where he wants you to wipe off his hands the second they get messy.
Water play in the backyard, followed by an intense, but short crying jag when he was forced to go inside for dinner and to prevent sickness. But the sweet look of joy on his face was well worth it for our 4-minutes of playing in the rain after his 18-month doctor's checkup earlier in the day.
